Terms & Conditions
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE
By placing an order with us, you confirm that you have read and accepted the terms outlined below. These terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
PRODUCT IMAGES
Where noted, some product images may be representative stock photos rather than the exact item being sold. Due to the volume of equipment we handle, we may not be able to photograph every individual product.
We aim to ensure all stock photos accurately reflect the item’s condition and type. If you are looking for something with specific characteristics or a particular serial number, feel free to contact us before purchasing.
RETURNS
Our returns process is detailed on the Returns page of our website.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
Items marked as being in "average" condition are covered by a 3-month warranty against faults unless stated otherwise. Products described as "ugly" do not come with a warranty if bought in person and are only covered by the standard 14-day return window if purchased online.
If a fault occurs within 3 months of delivery, we will attempt to repair or replace the item. If this isn't possible, a refund will be issued. While we will take your preferences into account, the final resolution will depend on what is feasible.
Warranty coverage is not transferable. Any resale, loan, or transfer of the item to another party voids the warranty.
For resellers or individuals purchasing with the intent to resell, the warranty is limited to the 14-day statutory return window.
Warranty Exclusions:
-
Selenium-cell light meters (common in older cameras) are excluded from warranty due to age-related inaccuracy.
-
Small traces of oil on aperture blades in preset or rangefinder lenses are considered normal and not covered. However, oil on automatic diaphragm lenses is not expected and is covered.
-
Subjective issues such as lens focusing feel or personal preferences are not covered. Feel free to ask us before purchasing if these aspects are important to you.
-
Rangefinder misalignments reported after 14 days are not covered.
DAMAGE & MISUSE
We reserve the right to deny returns or refunds for items that are returned in a damaged, incomplete, or altered condition. All original accessories must be included.
Some vintage cameras have unique usage instructions. Incorrect use may cause damage. It is your responsibility to research proper usage before operating the equipment. Contact us if you are unsure—our team is happy to help.
PRODUCT COMPATIBILITY & ACCURACY
While we have extensive knowledge of photographic equipment, the market is vast. It is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm compatibility before placing an order. If you’re uncertain, please contact us—we welcome all questions.
Purchases made in error due to compatibility issues are still eligible for return under our standard 14-day policy, but we cannot accept liability for any inconvenience caused.
ORDER CONFIRMATION & ERRORS
We reserve the right to cancel or adjust orders in cases of obvious error (e.g., pricing mistakes). If this happens, we will contact you and offer a suitable alternative or a full refund.
An order is only considered confirmed once it has been dispatched. For example, we are not obligated to honour an incorrect listing such as a £2.99 Canon Sure Shot Max.
CANCELLATIONS & TRANSACTION FEES
A 2% fee will be deducted from refunds for orders cancelled or changed at the buyer’s request. This fee covers non-refundable transaction costs incurred by our payment processor.
Example: If you accidentally place an order and later cancel, the refund will be the total minus 2%.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
We aim to dispatch orders within 48 hours of cleared payment (excluding weekends and public holidays). If you need urgent delivery, please contact us before placing your order.
Once dispatched, we are not responsible for courier delays. All shipments are insured and tracked. We do not offer untracked or uninsured shipping options.
DAMAGED OR INCOMPLETE DELIVERIES
Please report any items missing or damaged in transit within 7 days of delivery. Claims made after this period may not be eligible for refund or replacement.
We recommend checking your order promptly upon receipt.
VAT
Used items are sold under the VAT Margin Scheme or Global Accounting Scheme. No VAT can be reclaimed on these products, domestically or internationally.
New items, such as film, include 20% VAT, which may be reclaimable for eligible buyers.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
Orders shipped outside the UK may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and other fees. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.
If an international return is made, customs fees cannot be refunded. Please mark all returns as “Returned Goods” to avoid import charges on our end. Any incorrectly declared parcels may be returned to you or have duties deducted from your refund.
We will always declare the correct value of the item on customs forms. Please do not ask us to undervalue shipments.
LIABILITY LIMITATIONS
We are not liable for indirect losses resulting from delays, product faults, or delivery issues, including lost sales, business disruptions, or reputational damage.
In the event of a faulty or returnable item, our total liability is limited to the original purchase price paid.
